Are Thyroid Issues Related to Inflammation?

Clear Lungs and Sinus Naturally with a Nebulizer

Got a lingering cough that just won’t go away? Can’t breathe through your nose? Or even a wet, croupy cough with episodes of violent coughing that you can’t seem to stop? Try using a nebulizer and witness the healing magic of steam.

I have become a huge fan of my little nebulizer and am not sure how I survived without it. Use with a vial of hypertonic saline 7%, turn it on, and breathe. It’s that simple.

Hypertonic saline is salt water clean and pure enough to be safe for inhalation. Don’t use tap water or even bottled water in a nebulizer. Other things I like to use in my nebulizer are 3% hydrogen peroxide (the normal kind sold in any drugstore) for it’s anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties (yes, this is safe to do!), and sometimes a drop or two of essential oils of eucalyptus or frankensense. Eucalyptus has amazing lung-clearing powers and I often like to add a few drops to a hot bath, a vaporizer, or a diffuser.

Today I ran into someone with the lingering cough of long-haul syndrome, and a nebulizer was top on my list of recommendations! I think it is an essential item for the medicine cabinet in every home, and especially in homes with children. Using a nebulizer can replace medicinal cough syrups with questionable ingredients for sick kids without any risk of side effects. It is a safe way to help older adults clear fluids from their lungs at home as salt water (saline) draws excess fluid out of tissues gently.

Excellent for clearing cold and flu symptoms, surviving seasonal allergies, or even for shaking away brain fog, you may use a nebulizer multiple times daily or as needed. I have clients who use it every day after waking to help themselves breathe easily all day long without taking pharmaceuticals to suppress allergies.

How Many Veggies In a Glorious One-Pot Meal?

I’m thrilled to learn that you enjoyed my masterclass on the weight-loss inflammation connection and have purchased Glorious One-Pot Meals! It will become an invaluable tool to use for following the Bright Line Eating plan as every single ingredient in every single recipe can be substituted or omitted without a hitch.

To answer your specific question: YES! Of course you can double or triple the amount of veggies in a meal, or even make a 100% vegetable recipe! You’ll even find an entire Vegetarian section in the cookbook to give you some inspiration, but every recipe could easily contain more vegetables and less or no meat or grains. Once you understand the technique, you’ll make very GOPM exactly the way you want it to be, with whatever ingredients and flavors you choose to include.

The only time to pay a bit more attention is when you want to include grains like rice or quinoa, pasta, or other dry goods. Then you’ll want to be sure to check with the Common Measurements section in the front of the book to determine exactly how much liquid you need to hydrate that dry good.

Glorious One-Pot Meals on Stove

Dear Elizabeth, Please help me! I am a happy and retired grandfather, and my wife and I watch our one-year-old grandson every day. One day a week I make dinner for them. I usually make chili, given my limited cooking skills. I have your book, Glorious One Pot Meals, and I want to use it in my daughter’s apartment, but they don’t use their oven, only the stove top. I have a Dutch Oven. Would the recipes in your Glorious One Pot Meals book work on a stove top? What modifications would I need to make? Thank you for this wonderful information! I’m so excited to receive your email and learn that you will be preparing GOPMs for your grandson! I am a definite fan of intergenerational bonding over food! I raised my own kids on GOPMs and they grew to be adventurous eaters who appreciate many flavors and textures and enjoy trying new foods.
Yes! It is absolutely possible to prepare a GOPM on the stovetop! Here is where I talk about how to do it.

What do Celine Dion, Selma Blair, and Christina Applegate have in common?
